Both of these sources from The Guardian and The Telegraph use very nearly the same title to discuss the fact that three men were killed in a police training facility. They only change the fact that The Guardian says it was in Jordan. The Telegraph includes the fact that the training facility was set up by Americans, it suggests that they are trying to possibly criticise Americans by including their country. The Telegraph says that a Jordanian police officer ‘opened fire’ which suggests that it was done purposely. The Guardian then says that the shooting was done accidentally. The editor of the Guardian Newspaper could be saying this because he wants to protect his country from people possibly criticising them if he is from Jordan. Both sources mention that the incident was on the 10th year anniversary of al Qaeda suicide bombings which was one of the worst militant attacks in Jordan’s history. Writers of The Guardian mentioned that it seemed to bear a similarity to an incident where guns were turned on Americans in Afghanistan.
