Ibby used omission when says ‘This prick keep telling me’. He says it like that to keep his flow of speech going and to not have many interruptions by saying more words or full words. I think Ibby also feels it unecessary to speak standard English to Lis as he will understand him anyway. This is shown in my embedded quote missing out ‘on’ as omission.

Lis uses repitition when he says ‘Hold on, hold on’ I think this is used so Lis can get himself a chance to speak, Ibby may be interrupting Lis and Lis wants to shut him up.

Ibby uses slang twice in his first sentence ‘Prick and Fucking’ to maybe seem more agressive to be stronger in the argument. Ibby maybe feels more confortable around friends and there is a higher tolerance level. There’s a friendship trust he doesn’t have with teachers
